Qualifications
I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Therapy which provides me with a range of well established therapeutic disciplines that inform my work. I am able to draw upon the most effective type of therapy to suit the individual and integrate other approaches where necessary.
I am fully accredited with the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP) and have held the related National Counsellor Accreditation Certificate (NCAC) for the past 12 years.
I am a Registered Member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and been affiliated with BACP for the past 10 years. As such, I abide fully by the BACP Code of Ethics.
I am also fully trained through Richman EMDR Training as an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Practitioner. This training allows me to deliver EMDR to help those who have experienced traumatic events in their lives.
I continue to keep my theory and practice up to date through Continued Professional Development and hold the belief of a perpetual student, albeit with many years experience.
